Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Anthomyiidae --> most likely Egle ciliata

Hello,

is it possible to further identify this fly? The idea came up, that it could be a Lasiomma sp.
I found it resting on a wooden pole on February, 28th (Germany, Mainz). It was at the most 5mm long.

At first sight it looks indeed Lasiomma, but i think we have here the first Egle species from this year....
Need better view to see what Egle species it could be.

I don't know, what you need to see, so I'll just add two more pictures. Unfortunately I don't have one from the side, so the "new" pictures are quite similar to the old one...Maybe it helps.

On the last photo we can see the palps are equally long as haustellum, so most likely Egle ciliata.
