If I am not terribly wrong, this should be an Acrocerid fly, the only member of this family I observed this year. Unfortunately, it disappeared before I could take another shot from a different angle. Am I right? Does anyone know the species?

I think it is a species of Ogcodes, but the central European fauna is much richer than the British fauna (we only have two species), so I can't help further.

It is Ogcodes, indeed.

5 species are found on the Hungarian list, one is O. hungarica! I try to look into the details, how the species can be separated.
