This fly visited the garden quite a few times not sure if it's a tachinid but have attached quite a few photos which may help with an ID

Thanks

Elisabeth

Tachinidae it is. I leave the genus/species to those more knowledgable.

Dinera (from the face, legs & T1+2 excavation) ... (carinifrons?) possibly :) Needs Theo really because I hardly ever see these :)

Theo can you confirm this please?, I had a look in the gallery and found Dinera carinifrons (female) (1), just the one photo so if right I can add a few more!
