Can this be a Sciapus platypterus, the kind we find the most in Holland, or must it remain a S. spec....?
Pictures are made 17-7-2008 in Zeist, Holland

The male of Sciapus platypterus has segments 3 and 4 of mid tarsi white and broadened. If this is a male, as I think it is, it is not of that species.

I can't place it in the key to European species.

Hello John,

Thank you for your reaction!
I see in other pictures what you mean, so this must stay a spec....:|
