Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Syrphus? -> S. torvus

Hello,

this ~9mm fly is from last summer from about 1800m in the alps of switzerland. Is the genus Syrphus correct? Can perhaps the species be identified?

This is torvus. Hairy eyes :)
