Jean Hort granted me again to share this fantastic Mythicomyiidae from Western Australia.

I wrote to Neal Evenhuis who told me that "(...) this is a new genus of the subfamily Psiloderoidinae. There are over 20 new genera of this subfamily".
He is reviewing, at the moment, this subfamily of the world.

A fantastic capture made by Jean Hort. Enjoy!

The hunchbacked posture reminds me of the Holarctic genus Geron (Bombyliidae).

It resembles a Geron, but wing venation and antennae points out to mythicomyiidae. Soon we will know the name of this new genus. Stay tunned.

I think this is Microbombylius minutissimus, isn't it :)
