Definately
Syrphus, but is that shading on the hind femur? This is female, if shaded could be
S. torvus (
maybe hairy eyes? Not sure),
rectus,
vitripennis or another you may have that we don't in the UK.
Female ribesii should have all-yellow hind femora. Further (
less quality-compressed) images may make things clearer shade-wise :)

Good sight! On this other picture I have (the only other one), the shaded third femur is clearly visible. No hairs on the eyes. I thus think this is Syrphus vitripennis. Would you agree?

S. vitripennis is characterised by I believe only
sparse microtrichae on the basal wing-cells, which is a microscope job.
I'd go with
Syrphus cf.
vitripennis.
