Hello,
Is it possible to say which this is? 27th June 2010, on my pond, near Lincoln UK. I'm not sure of the size, possibly 6-8mm.
Janet :)

Dear Blowave,
This is definitely a female specimen of Dolichopus ungulatus (notice the entirely black antenna, and the numerous preapical bristles on femora II and III).
Cheers,
Marc

Thank you Marc, great to put a name to it! It's one I thought I had but have never been able to confirm it.
