Hello to all!
Is there an ID possible and what kind of cancer or whatever has it on its head? About 12-14mm long.

i think the ptilinum didn't close well... It happens sometimes.

Thanks Ruud, so no sickness...
I thought the Ptilinum is retracted before the fly starts flying around going for a meal. Seems I've been wrong...
Could the species be
Conops flavipes?
