Can you say the name of this Sarcophaga...?

Hello Ruud and Chris,

I'm happy with this forum as I always thought that Tachinidae and Sarcophagidae cannot be determined.
I found that some are more possible, which in nice!, and maybe from some photo's you can recognize the type, as sometimes I see a difference but probably it is not determinable.. :| Thanks for your reaction though..!!

Quite a lot of tachinids can be identified from photos by people who have seen lots of them (often though it will be "looks like..." not "it is definitely..." ) but it is impossible to give a 100% determination from a photo because keying features are not all visible ;)

Sarcophagids are often more difficult because so many of them are only identifiable reliably using male genitalia, so females can't even be identified even when you have a specimen :)
