Hi,
I think Sciapus is correct, but can anyone give a species? We have 9 species..
http://www.dipter...hp?id=9349
14th June, my garden near Lincoln UK. I also got I think a male on the 15th which looks to be the same species, posting separately. Size ~7mm
Thanks!
Janet

I sometimes think I shouldn't bother too because of the difficulties, but on some occasions I get results when I don't expect it.
We don't have this one in the gallery and I have both male and female!
