Hello,

Yet another Sarcophaga picture. Is it possible to say more than in Jorge's thread ?

Thanks anyway.

Hi Pierre
I'd say this was the same as in Jorge's thread (http://www.dipter...post_15099) - Sarcophaga (Bercaea) africa male. I don't know all the European Sarcophaga, so I can't be completely certain about the ID, but I think it's safe to call it S. africa.

Hello,

Thanks, Tony.

More, this is a picture taken in Paris, not yet the Mediterranean region, like Jorge.

Hello,

We had a discussion on a French forum about this precise picture. Am I wrong saying that this is the same species as the first one, which was identified by Tony as S. africa?

Someone proposed Bercaea cruentata (Meigen).

Thanks in advance for your comments.

Same species as the upper one.
"Someone" was using an old key, with out-of-date nomenclature. ;)
Sarcophaga africa (Wiedemann, 1824) = Sarcophaga cruentata Meigen, 1826
