Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Heleomyzidae: unknown #1 (12.11.10) --> Heteromyza rotundicornis (m)

Hello!

This one (at banana bait in garden, northwest Germany) was not very big (5-6 mm), but rather conspicuous with its clear yellow and blue colours. ID possible?

Heteromyza atricornis or rotundicornis, I guess. I do not have the literature here near me. And, now, bang!!!, Andrzej comes......

Thank you, Ruud! I also suspected Heteromyza (atricornis because of the dark antennae), but was not sure.
