Hi,
I know these are impossible, but this one might be different as it had a definite pattern across the wings, and a black spot between the wings.
1st November, on Ivy, my garden near Lincoln UK. Size ~2.5mm
3 pics

Won't help I'm afraid; best I can do is a probable
Psychoda (oh the shame !). However, if you were to photograph it and
then send it to me, I could nail it for sure

Thanks anyway Phil, it was worth a try!
It is a shame as it's quite distinctive, oh well.:(

All the ones I've taken that look like that have turned out to be
Psychoda surcoufi Tonnoir, 1922.

Which is certainly commoner in gardens than elsewhere, so is quite plausible.

Thank you! :D
I found pics on Bio-images which look 'spot' on. It would surely be unusual for any other species to look like this or am I wrong?

It would have been a nice addition to the gallery, but alas I guess not possible. :|
