Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Suillia sp.?

For this magnificent fly, I would tentatively say Heleomyzidae, Suillia sp. Photographed in mixed woodland on the banks of a small stream near Rome, Italy. About 8 mm long.

I agree with Dima,
Scathophaga sp. (not S. stercoraria).

Scathophaga was my first idea, but then I thought it wasn't hair enough. I suppose I was thinking of S. stercoraria :(, Sarah.
