does look like close to bacha elongata, which is in gallery, not it doh.
Body ~ 10 mm.

I'm not an expert, but it does look like a female Baccha elongata. I don't know if there are any other Baccha species.

You are possibly right; as are as I know in our part of Europe there is only elangata. But I don't know whether there are other weird genera....so I'd leave this darling to the hoverflies-lovers.
