Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Stomoxys calcitrans?

Hello!
Is this fly with the protruding proboscis a
Stomoxys calcitrans? Found yesterday at our house (Germany). Size like a normal house fly. Thanks in advance!

Prosena siberita is mistaken for it! (I think someone should visit Diptera.info to check their photos - the
Chrysops is also misidentified! :))

Thanks for your confirmation! It's not so easy if you don't know, whether there are other flies in the so many. many diptera families with such a long proboscis ;-) (which could also be used for other things than sucking blood...). I'm only an amateur and beginner X-).
