Hello flyforum,

I didn't know that Suillia sp. (if I am correct..) got robberfly habits..:@
This Doliphus sp. is a prey for this suilla fly, that's for sure!

Possible that the fly did not catch it, but the Doliphus fly was dead already :o

In this area there where very much Doliphus flies (>1000)

And I do not believe that the Suillia-fly is singing a cradle-song for the Doliphus-fly!

Hi Robert.
It isn't Suillia, but Scathophaga, so being predator is quite natural for this fly. Scathophaga, not S. stercoraria.
