Thread subject: Diptera.info :: tachinidish-looking Anthomyiid or Muscid?

Hi,
This small fly is quite a mystery to me. I saw two of them on inflorescences of wild carrot today. By habit, especially antennae, I guessed Tachinidae, but the wing venation does not match. It would rather point to an Anthomyiid, if not Muscid. I am helpless... Please release me from that state!
Many thanks, Sundew

Looks like an
Actia to me (hairy r1(?), r4+5 & cu) ... at least certainly a siphoniine :)

Wow - great! So the tachinidish facial expression rules out the non-bent m vein :D! Many thanks to you all!

Ahh, yeah ... funny I didn't spot something that obvious - a classic indicator of
A.lamia ... I was making it more difficult that it was ... doh!! :D
