Hi,
This empid is intriguing with such long hairs on its tarsi. What might it be?

Currently known as
Rhamphomyia (Amydroneura) hirsutipes, but it has no clearly associated females and it is virtually always found in company of
R. (A.) erythrophthalma that differs only in not having all those hairs. In my opinion it is the same species as
erythrophthalma but it has not been synonymised formally, yet (AFAIK).
It is a typical species of late summer and autumn and can be extremely numerous on locations.

As far as I know :) it's an acronym for As Far As I Know. ;)
