This was found at Scatsta Airport a couple of weeks ago, can't remember the size...anyone got any ideas on it.
Looks kinda Sphaero to me??

Sphaerocerid; hard to tell more from this angle (but not one of the tiddly ones)

Another image...I think this one must have been among the flies sent to Paul for ID...'cause I can't find it among my heap of dead stuff :S

Apologies for crap photo's...it's been in the freezer and the legs have contracted towards the body :|, how can this be corrected...happens to most of them.

I can't see a hook on the hind tarsus, so might be Lotophila atra. If you want to relax them, put them in a vial on damp cotton wool for a few hours;

Thanks for that Phil :) This one was photographed the same night that the dead one was caught in the pan trap ( actually a yellow Kelloggs cereal bowl to give it its technical name). Your suggestion looks good to me. There were quite a few of these on "The Grit Bins of Scatsta"
