One thing I noted was that the abdomen was flat

Any reason why this could not be Chaetolonchaea dasyops?

Chaetolonchaea species have very wide genae ( the area between the lower margin of the eye and the mouth margin) and usually rather short antennal flagellomeres, The specimen shown here is a female Lonchaea - Iif the legs are all black (I can't be sure) then it is L. sylvatica if they are brownish it could be one of several species .........
