Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Miltogramminae? (June-03, 2010) --> Metopia argentata

Hi!

I found this couple of 4-5 mm flies at a slope near the forest (northwest Germany). The male was permanently buzzing with its wings. Also conspicious, the white spots at its abdomen sides.

Miltogramminae species indeed.

It is Metopia. I think this should be M. argentata, formerly known as M. roserii.
