Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Empididae: Empis punctata? (May-10, 2010) --> E. trigramma

Hello!

Are all these 6-8 mm flies from hedges (northwest Germany) Empis punctata? I always have difficulties to tell them apart from E. trigramma :|.

Yellow visible between the three black fasciae (at least in 2nd and 3rd pictures) so it must be trigramma.
