So ... let's if I got the lesson right :)
- small (6-7mm) shiny metallic fly
- long legs
- bristly
- only one obvious cross-vein (this comes from the book)
it's a Dolichopodidae, right? :D

It's a very typical large Dolichopodid of genus
Dolichopus. Most dolichopodids and smaller than this one and they tend to keep close to the ground. which may explain why they are not often seen and rarely photographed. Sweep-netting over and around mud will reveal many dolis where you though there were none at all :D
