Hi
I would like to share this beautiful fly from southern Europe. This photo was photographed by a friend of mine Antonio(aser) in Seville last year in final Summer.
I showed it to David Gibbs and this fly turns out to be a possible Heteralonia aeacus. The distribution of this bombyllid is also known for Portugal. Hopefully Valter can spot this Heteralonia.
Enjoy.
EDIT: Faunaeur has this species as Heteralonia (Zygodipla) aeaca. For now I'll use this name. Seems to be coeherent with the Latin syntax.

This Heteralonia has 15 mm size. One of the most beautiful bombyliids we have here in Southern Europe. Hope someone find this beauty here in Portugal! It is cited for this country but I do not have information in which places..
