Hi, this is a bigger, 3-4 mm long larva from a lake near mountains. Can someone help?

Most likely Orthocladiinae. The position of the eyes are very diagnostic, although Diamesinae (not in stagnant waterbodies) may resemble that of Orthocladiinae. You can check if there is a bundle of hairs at the posterior lateral corner of many to all abdominal segments. If so, than genus Cricotopus. If not, than mentum teeth and several other headstructures needs to be studied. In lakes the genera Cricotopus or Psectrocladius are very common. Your larvae, however, doesn't look like Psectrocladius.
