Hi, which subfamily could this belong to? in the mountains, very fast brook, about 2 mm long:

I'm not sure, but it is either Orthocladiinae or Diamesinae. In very fast flowing brooks Diamesinae can occur, but the position of the eyes resembles also Orthocladiinae. I do not have many expercience with Diamesinae, for they are scarce in The Netherlands. If you like you can send them to me, for an identification, as well as the Orthocladiinae from the lake (other message).
