Hi Nikita,

Yes, this is Geomyza apicalis. Nice catch! It is rather scarce in collection. However, to my opinion it is not a rare species at all. My experience is that it is just scarcely seen in the field because it normally stays very low between the vegetation. I have seen several pitfall trap samples from The Netherlands and Germany in which this species was present! I expect this species to be more widely distributed than currently known.

Soon you will get this one for new point in your Opomyzidae distribution map. I've never seen this fly before, tomorrow I'll try to find for normal quality image.
