Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Australian Dolichopodidae - Heteropsilopus sp

Can anyone suggest a name for this pretty fly? Photographed 12 December 2009, on the breakfast table on the veranda of a house in Canberra. About 5mm. Sorry the photos are so poor.

There are several genera of Sciapodinae with banded wings, but 3-banded wings is characteristic for
Heteropsilopus , and the photo is practically identical to a picture of wing by Bickel (1994) for
Heteropsilopus ingenuus (Erichson, 1842), mass species in Australia. So, it is
Heteropsilopus, female.
