Hi Nikita,

Looks like it, though I have some doubts. The thorax looks very grey for a T. tussilaginis, and I can't see the colour of the wingbands very well. So do you have another picture in shich the colour is clearer?

Best wishes,

John

Hi John.
This fly collected from same plant one minute after taking picture.

But I am afraid that is of a different species. The colour of the mesonotum and placement of the large setae is different.

Hi Nikita,

I am afraid Paul is right. like I already said, the thorax is too grey of the first specimen. Though there is no alternative id comming to my mind, I'll have to look at my collection, and it will take me a few days before I will return home, so please be patient.

Thank you Paul and John.
I had very few hope that Paul isn't right;)
Has it sense to try to come back and collect more flies at same Arctium?
