1st photo of the decade. One Trichocera sp.
Taken today a few moments ago when I was reading some posts in DI.

ops, little help, in Faune de France keys seems to fit T. annulata (the only recorded until 2002), i´ve no recent keys for species :(

It's a pity ovipositor is not visible - that could help. On the other hand, abdomen seems to have bands of different colours, so this might be T. annulata.

Yes, this confirms
T. annulata ;)
Paqui is right about this species being the only trichocerid with published record in Portugal so far. It was earlier found in February 1999, in Parque Natural da Serra da Estrela and that record was published in: CARLES-TOLRÁ M. 2001. Algunos dípteros nuevos para Portugal (Insecta, Diptera).
Zool. baetica, 12: 91-100.
So Jorge, you have the second finding of
Trichocera from Portugal as far as I know :)
