Hi,

Only one pic of this but I have cropped the head for a better view. Taken on 9th June 2009, not sure of size but I think fairly small. Near Lincoln UK.

Thank you Joke! I can now see the likeness to an Anthomyiid.;) Could this be Pegomya bicolor? We have 20 species of Pegomya here.:o

I don't think it is P.bicolor (has palpi yellow)
I study Pegomya now, but they are very confusing, with many look a likes....just difficult genus :o
So ...Pegomya sp.
