Hello,
I have no idea about its species, a tachinid? from Van East Turkey (about 10mm length). I hope that the apical spots are also characteristic for the species. ID is very much appreciated.
Thanks a lot.

Looks like a
Gonia sp. but I have never seen one with apical wing spots - very nice indeed :D

Thank you Chris. Is it possible an ID more precisely?
By the way, I wish to all friends a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

It looks very interesting,
it would be great if you could share it with Dr. J. Ziegler, Berlin, who is working on the genus Gonia.

Gonia maculipennis is the only
Gonia in Lindner that has spots on the wings. General description and distribution would also fit. Any objections?

thank you very much Jaakko. I agree with you and also enclosed here the original description of Gonia maculipennis Egger,1862, Verh. zool.-bot. Ges. Wien 12: 783, described the specimens from Hungary, and Asia minor (Turkey).
