Hello,
I had a fly on two occasions which looks to be the same species, so forgive me for posting them together as I only got one pic of each.
This one on my pond on 28th October stood on the water surface, it was some distance away and the pic was over exposed but the main features can be see. I think it was around 2mm long. Location near Lincoln UK.

This one was on 7th October. Same size, 2mm or less, I only spotted it while looking through my macro lens at moss on a brick at the edge of the pond. It was stood nearly vertical cleaning itself.

The spelling as you have given with the extra 'i' only brings one hit on google, a Nl site ;)
The spelling in Gallery is as I have copied it, but I got the family name spelling wrong! I have checked several sources and they are all without the extra 'i'.
We only have 3 Pseudocollinella species here, the other two are P. jorlii and P. septentrionalis if that helps.
