As an addendum: In central Berkshire (UK) today I saw many Phasia hemiptera (males & females) on umbellifers and Hemp Agrimony. Also, plenty of Exorista sp., Eriothrix rufomaculata and ... 'le piece de resistance' - 2 male Cistogaster globosa. Also, Volucella bombylans & pelluscens, Chrysotoxum bicinctum & a nice Physcocephala sp. (to be identified) :)
