2007-05-11, Germany, Bavarian Forest, Hoher Bogen, edge of the forest

I agree it is not pomonae and looks like johannis.

It is rather late in the year, though, for johannis.

Females tend to be later than males, so it still might be OK.

I found it at 600m above sea level - perhaps it is so late in the year?

Yes, that might very well be an additional part of the explanation.
Johannis is very common in most localities, so have a close look at the period of flight next spring, I'd suggest
