Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Tachina fera ?

Hello flyforum,

I was wondering if this fly is Tachina fera?

It is almost a year ago I saw these kind of flies, now I am not sure of this is Tachina fera..

Well, in England I'd call it Tachina fera :D but there are alternatives in Europe - eg. T.magnicornis and I'd probably defer to someone like Theo to have the final word - i'll bookmark this for him to look at later :)

Difficult to tell from the pictures.
Most likely fera, but somewhat intermediate.

What detail of the fly makes it to a Tachina fera?
I have more pictures of this fly, also from other directions..
Perhabs that can shine a light on it?

I show you here the fly more from above, there you see the black stripe better on the abdomen
