Found this one on Sea Campion (Silene) in July of this year..any ideas on identity??

Looks like it might be Symphyta rather than Lepidoptera...

I disagree Paul, it's a noctuid caterpillar, something like
Caradrina/Hoplodrina.

I've had a trawl through UK Moths and the closest I can find is The Campion. Don't know if this is right or not, it hasn't been recorded up here previously. I've e-mailed it to UK Moths and am waiting a reply. Paul, what
can I say, that hasn't been said before ?
