October 23 Lancashire 3mm+. Abdomen shining gold. 2dc I think, but the anterior pair weak. Pleural dusting seems to fit too.

Is the gold abdomen a variable feature? Does it depend on age, sex or season?

Yes, a male S. fulgens.
I think the golden abdomen is a gender thing, but I'm not sure.

This is a male Sepsis punctum (only 1 pair of dc).
