Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Syrphidae from summer

Location: Switzerland, highmoor, 948 müM
date: 15.07.09
size: about 10 mm

i'm not sure if we have had this one . . . .or if it is a new one, perhaps even "Xanthandrus"?

I'm happy - but very astonished - so much different hoverflies! And from most black small syrphidaes I have not taken pics . . . and I was still not high in the mountains . .

searching with my author-name and keyword "highmoor" : I think there are diffrent and some uncommon insects to find. I will gave this place much more attention next summer . . .
