Thread subject: Diptera.info :: beautiful hoverfly from Quito, Ecuador (2 pics)

Hello to all!
This very beautiful hoverfly was to be found on 5.8.2009 in the Botanical Garden of Quito (~2850m asl). Length about 10-12mm. Does anybody know more about it?

This is a species of Allograpta (female).
