Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Muscidae: Muscina stabulans? (04.10.09) --> M. stabulans + Phaonia sp.

Hello!

This afternoon at fruit bait in our garden (northwest Germany). Are these Muscina stabulans males? About 8 mm.

First individual is indeed Muscina stabulans, the second individual is a male Phaonia (M1+2 staright, hairy eyes...).

Thank you once more! Now that you say it, I also see differences in wing shape and colouration.
