Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Muscidae? Helina? (04.10.09) --> H. evecta/annosa

Hello!

A 7 mm male Muscid sunbathing on leaves in the garden today (northwest Germany). Could it be Helina evecta?

Yes, it is either Helina evecta or H. annosa (first is the most common).

Thanks! That one (or those two) is (are) very numerous in spring at the forest, but I had never found it (them) in the garden in autumn, yet.
