Another of these flies attracted to the smell of old Scallop Shells. Looks a bit like a Fucellia fucorum I had a while back, but the head is a lighter colour..ID'able? Size 6mm ish.

This one looks very much like one I posted at the beginning of this year. Never got an ID though.
I'd say it's a Fucellia, and maybe F. tergina.

Thanks Lars
Yes it does look a bit more like F.tergina. In the Fucellia fucorum the tibia is darker, this has a hint of yellow in it, plus the head looks the right colour....
It isn't on my Checklist, the only other one I have is F.maritima.

Some of the pv on hind femur seems longer than width of hind tibia and we can't see clearly if there are some hairs between the two rows of presutural acrostichals.....
So F. maritima could also be.
Do you have a dorsol view..?

Hi Joke
I was editing my previous post to include F.maritima while you posted your message.
These photo's are the closest to a dorsal view I have.

Can't give up that easily Joke...found a photo of the same kind of fly (I think) which was in my house on the window. Not a full dorsal to avoid the flash on the window pane, but not far off...hope this helps.

I think your first option is right.(Fucellia fucorum)
Tibia off the last photo seems dark (and female can have some yellow near base)
I also see a av seta on mid tibia.
And ....when i look good, i don't think there are hairs between the two rows of pr.su.acr.
F.tergina / maritima have also more yellowish tibia.

(last photo is probably a male, i can see the row of hairs basal off hind femur)

Yust started with Anthomyiidae, so remember, that a mistake from me is easely made.
So lets say....80 % sure it is :D

In that case..YOU'RE HIRED.

Can't have the people on here being glad, can we? Andre would feel even more isolated in his misery....Sorry Andre...don't think he reads these.
