Hi,

can anyone identify this fly. I found it in Bernau near Berlin, Germany.

Terellia serratulae?

Hi Wilfried,

It's indeed T. serratulae.

Best wishes,

John

John apparently is right: the oviscape is short, and the flower head not tomentose; ergo => it is Carduus (not Cirsium eriophorum), and it is Terellia serratulae. This is the only Terellia I collected in Bernau. :)
