Not sure it's really an Ichneumonidae though.
The shape of the head with two white stripes on the back of it, the slightly upward curved ovipositor (if that's what it is) and the wings sort of wrapped arud the body looks quite distinctive, at least to me :)
Can any ID be made?
Size: ~12mm (or a little more)

Location: On wooden railing around a pond (Helsingborg, Sweden)

Symphyta not Ichneumonidae. Xiphydria camelus. Regards. José Luis Ruiz de la Cuesta.

Thank you very much Jose Luis. I had this ID'd earlier to Xiphydridae by Camille (cthirion) by email (apparently some problems replyin here. Seems to be resolved now).
Nice to have the species too :) Thanks!
