very odd to be a tachinid..
maybe a sarcophagid??
Wohlfarthia?.. or near? .. not sure!

I agree, it resembles a Sarcophagid.

I'm not convinced that it is a sarcophagid - it reminds me of of the tachinid Billaea maritima, which I photographed at the Moscow Zoological Museum recently:

yes... now Chris has convinced me htat this tis a tachinid. Subscutellum is visible on the second photo! :|

I agree with Chris, the genus seems correct.
maritima has the yellow antennas.

I am 60 km of the sea, can be with the wind:D
I live in the inside of Provence, at the beginning of the Alps.

Definitely a Tachinid: Billaea.

The female of B. maritima, to be precise.
Rather Mediterrean species, I know it from Bulgaria.
