I thought I was photographing an Asilidae, but it turned out to be a Tabanidae. Oh well! :D Wing pattern looks Haematopota to me, but the eyes puzzles me. Can anyone give this one some kind of name?
Size: ~10mm
Date: 17 June 2009
Location: On grass by the side of a country dirt road (Helsingborg, Sweden)
Thanks!

I can add it is a male. Theo will post something in sense it is very difficult to ID Haematopota male from this single picture :-) Libor

IF Libor does, I don't have to repeat it.
H. pluvialis or subcylindrica

Thank you all very much.
Yes, I am aware that these guys are very difficult to ID from photos.
