Thread subject: Diptera.info :: dark blue Tachinid - Epicampocera succincta

Hi,
Yesterday I met a fly that superficially resembled a Calliphora but obviously wasn't. I thought of a Melinda, but this taxon shouldn't have a bare arista and hairy eyes. Furthermore, my fly has a very bristly abdomen. So I declare it a Tachinid and wonder if you agree or supply a name!
Many thanks, Sundew
PS. I just read something about Phryxe - comes close, but there is no brownish scutellum tip...

Certainly a tachinid - looks like Epicampocera succincta to me :)
